Unlocking Growth for an International Engineering Staffing Firm with a $1MM Facility

CS Engineering Staffing Firm

THE SITUATION
Advantage was introduced to an offshore engineering staffing company through a trusted AR insurance contact. The client specializes in placing highly skilled engineers on complex international oil and gas projects.

The primary challenge was cross-border risk. Both the client and its main E&P debtor are international entities, creating underwriting complexity around jurisdiction, ownership and documentation. In addition, the client’s growth had been constrained by Net 60 payment terms.

THE LEADERSHIP
At Advantage, one of our top criteria for any partnership is the strength of leadership. In this case, the company’s US-based ownership and leadership team brought more than 30 years of experience in this specialized sector. Their established policies, disciplined processes and strong documentation gave us confidence in their ability to execute and manage risk.

THE SOLUTION
To address the complexity, Advantage engaged legal counsel with expertise in international finance. The client’s transparency and attention to detail were equally important throughout the process.

As a result, a $1 million factoring facility is now in place, allowing the client to accelerate Net 60 receivables as needed. With improved access to working capital, the company can confidently deploy additional engineers, support existing projects and pursue new international opportunities.
