Wayne Coker started his own factoring company in Houston in 1985 and has been active in the industry ever since. In 1994 he began one of Texas’ first bank-owned factoring companies, and six years later he and his team joined Central Bank, Houston’s longest-serving independent bank.
Company success led to growth through the years. Wayne and his team completed the first of five acquisitions in 2001, including a local competitor founded in 1978. Prior to entering the factoring industry, Wayne owned a number of Houston-area companies. He served on the first board of the International Factors Association and is a Director for the Commercial Finance Association. He also serves as Executive Vice President and Advisory Director for Central Bank. Wayne graduated with honors from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business in 1984.
